  • When lobbyist Alex Hur asked development and operations director Samantha Kersul to marry him on their fifth anniversary, he had planned a fairy-tale helicopter ride overlooking Lake Union.

  • The couple’s multicultural, multiday wedding featured an Islamic nikah ceremony at The Sanctuary at Admiral on Thursday evening and a traditional Western wedding at the Fremont Foundry on Saturday.

  • The couple opted for muted white and blush flowers, with hints of blue and a few pops of sunset corals, growing almost all of the dahlias used in the wedding in their home garden.

  • Not being ones for the traditional, Sarah and Alexander planned an intimate wedding that was filled with art and aviation. Sarah walked down the aisle in a timeless Ann Taylor gown with a train she hand-painted herself.
