If there's ever a time to wear flowers in your hair, it's your wedding day. But if traditional blooms aren't for you, perhaps a beaded hair vine is. This new adornment is the brainchild of West Seattle-based Katie Lewandowski, a self described "maker and creator" who uses freshwater pearls, Czech glass beads, crystals and sometimes silk organza to craft delicate and demure headpieces for her line, Eleven Skies Studio. The hair vines, which range in price from $45 to $150, are delicate, bohemian, always one of a kind and perhaps the next big thing in bridal beauty.

Cameron Catering's motto is "Our food should look as beautiful as it tastes." And it does. An event catered by Cameron Catering, owned by chef Suzanne Cameron for nine years (making this one of the industry's best-kept secrets), means creative and delicious food inspired by culinary traditions from around the world. An open house at Westland Distillery in March featured a soft pretzel knot "forest," with pretzels on sticks sprouting from a wooden, glass filled planter box (created by Lola Event Floral Design), and plenty of sauces for dipping -- a memorable and tasty way to stand out from the pack. cameron-catering.com
