Bachelor and Bachelorette Party Musts: Find Your Local Spirit
Wednesday, April 3 2013
When wine tasting simply isn’t enough, think about including some local distillery’s spirits in your bachelorette or bachelor party plans. A new favorite is the tequilla from Seattle’s very own Black Rock Spirits, Sparkle Donkey. Now if that name doesn’t spark your interest, we don’t know what will. Imported from Mexico and sold by the creators of the award winning Bakon Vodka, this 100 percent Blue Agave Tequila is sure to get the party started.
Another local favorite is the Mad Mint Vodka from Batch 206 Distillery. Made from Washington-grown peppermint and grains, sweetened with a bit of beet sugar from the Pacific Northwest, this vodka is truly a local masterpiece.
While you’re at it, try the Big Gin from Captive Spirits, which is distilled and bottled here in Seattle. Boasting a burnt orange and juniper flavor with a spicy finish, Big Gin will certainly catch your attention.
Perhaps the purest Seattleite of them all, “Drip” Coffee Liqueur from Rain City Spirits is made from a special blend from our city’s beloved Caffe Vita and blended withRain City’s Vodka and dash of pure cane sugar.
These local distilleries prove that Seattle dwellers don’t have to go too far to find their local spirit.
