Bridesmaid Dresses: Little Borrowed Dress
Wednesday, March 26 2014
The laments of bridesmaids as we know it—spending too much on a formal dress they'll never wear again—has changed with Little Borrowed Dress, a bridesmaid dress rental service based in New York City, but founded by Seattle native Corie Hardee.
LBD offers a variety of dress options, from strapless to halter-top, short to long, in a range of current, on-trend colors to match your own. In fact, brides can order free color swatches to guarantee it. Although the showroom is in NYC, if you wanted to get up close and personal with the gorgeous gowns, the LBD caravan hits the road and has been known to make stops in Seattle. Missed the trunk show? LBD will set you up with a virtual showroom via Skype, so you can lay your eyes on all that pretty while working directly with a personal consultant.
Dresses rent for between $50 and $75 and Hardee makes the process easy and headache free, by shipping a second size with every rental, for free, and handling all the dry cleaning and pressing of the dresses upon return.
And if by chance, your maids actually want to buy one of the dresses, they're all available for sale as well.
Well, phew! That takes care of one thing on your list!
