For Cynthia Tran and Benjamin “Ben” Smith, who met while working together at Zulily, their special day focused on cherishing close family and friends and celebrating a most beloved season. After a London proposal, the couple strategically chose their wedding date as the summer solstice (the longest day of summer) so that they could have as much daylight as possible to celebrate their nuptials. On social media, their hashtag became “#SummerSolSmith,” a fun way to shine light on the day. With a classic Pacific Northwest bohemian theme in mind, details abounded. An intricate macramé piece—which also served as the ceremony’s backdrop—was included as a decorative focal point at the reception, now bearing a bright neon pink sign that read “The Smiths.” Pampas grass, rose gold accents and agate stone place cards added to the boho, summer-love vibe of the day.
