Balletcore is having a moment, and Pennies Events crafted a shoot inspired by dance major and ballerina Alisinn featuring a highbrow, elevated take on the trend styled for a wedding day design. The overarching goal was to showcase ways that couples can personalize their designs and bring in the essence of their own passions, captured with a moody edge by Britt Jezak Photography. Imagery from the shoot was captured with a refined eye, using shadows and lighting to bring a stylized vision to life. The result is a lovely depiction of feminine beauty, with just a hint of "black swan."

The essence of ballet as an art blends grace and strength, making carefully curated routines feel effortless and organic, something that was uniquely showcased in the details of this day, from the tablescapes to the accessories. A rich mixture of color found itself featured and styled, pairing classic baby pink with black accents and a jewel-toned backdrop. Florals crafted by Moonflower Design center around luscious mauve blooms and feminine combinations of purple and champagne. A draped runner sets the table for dinner, topped with sleek black dinnerware and clear bud vases that channeled a sleek cohesion. For a final touch, Cake and Crumble crafted a confection featuring a sumptuous texture that truly looked hand-sewn.

A gown from A and M Enterprises takes cues from onstage costuming, featuring a structured corset gown with a hint of modernity in a nude lining. Delicate floral embroidery interwoven with subtle glitz is a perfect pairing down a cascading skirt shaping a delightful silhouette that traverses from the traditional ballet shapes while maintaining the aura of romance. Mesh jeweled gloves are a must-have whimsical accessory, taking classic fabrics that shape tutus into a more subtle nod toward dance, and dangling earrings tie the look together. Alisinn's real-life partner Joseph was the perfect male lead to frame our bride and support her much like a pas-de-deux partner. His outfit kept things more classic, which was a compliment to the more whimsical attire of our bride. Side by side, our couple was a breathtaking vision that felt straight out of Giselle. Alisinn's pointe shoes were an essential addition to the day's concept, serving as an accessory for flat lays as well as our bride's outfit.
