What types of bridal wear do you offer (gowns, formalwear, flower girl dresses, accessories, etc)?

Conveniently located on 6th Ave in Tacoma, Brides for a Cause is a bridal store selling wedding dresses for charity! Our bridal store features over 1,000 discounted wedding dresses in sizes 0-24. All of our dresses are donated by high-end bridal stores, designers and indivdiduals from around the country. Our prices start at just $150! We also carry special occasion dresses and discounted bridal accessories. Our inventory is unique, wide ranging and constantly changing as new dresses arrive daily! Visit our Tacoma boutique, Portland boutique or attend a Road Show!

Do you require an appointment to try on dresses?

No! Our Tacoma bridal boutique is open 7 days a week on a walk-in basis. Brides can stop by anytime during store hours! Our store hours are Monday-Saturday from 10am-4pm and Sunday from 11am-4pm. Since our inventory turns over quickly, brides are encouraged to check back often until they find "the one!"

What is your philosophy towards working with brides?

We provide a very relaxed, friendly and welcoming environment. Our store is 2,500 sq ft located on 6th Ave, featuring hundreds of wedding dresses all arranged by size, 6 large fitting rooms and a communal fitting room area for guests! Our brides are able to "sift" through the racks on their own, which many brides appreciate. Our staff is available for assistance and help as needed. We strive to create a “boutique experience” without the hefty price tags by providing exceptional customer service, a friendly environment and great discounts!

Are on-site alterations available?

No, we don’t do alterations in-house, but we have a recommended seamstress list. Our sales staff is knowledeable and available to answer questions about alterations during every visit. Occassionally, we have an independent alterations specialist on weekends to help answer questions.

Which bridal gown designers do you carry?

Unlike most bridal stores that carry a handful of designers, Brides for a Cause carries over 50+ designers, since our inventory is donated from brides, salons and designers from all over the country! We work closely with designers and salons across the country to receive their discontinued samples and overstock gowns! Since our inventory comes from various donors all over the country, our store features unique pieces that won’t be found anywhere else in Oregon! We carry top name designers including Allure, Stella York, Casablanca, Maggie Sottero, Nicole Miller, Essence of Australia, Anna Campbell, Augusta Jones, Jasmine, Pronovias, Watters, Wtoo… and many more!

What type of wedding accessories do you carry?

We carry discounted veils, sashes, headpieces, slips and shoes. Our special occasion gowns are $20 each!

How long does it typically take from the time you order a dress to the time it arrives?

All of our wedding dresses are sold “off the rack,” which means you get to take your dress home with you that day! No ordering, no waiting! We’re the perfect bridal store for last-minute weddings, because our brides get to walk away with their dress that same day!

Will you store my gown until the week before the wedding? Will it be pressed when I pick it up?

We "hold" dresses up to 24 hours before purchasing, if a bride needs to sleep on it. But once a dress is purchased, the dress goes home immediately! We also have a list of recommended dry cleaners for those who want to get it cleaned and pressed before their big day!

Do you offer gown preservation services?

No, we don’t preserve wedding gowns, but if a bride is interested in donating her wedding dress after her wedding, we'll accept it!
