Over the course of 20 years as a professional photographer, the challenge has lured me far and wide. I have photographed over 600 weddings and events in this time. Travel and journalistic assignments have honed my photographer's eye and my ability to see and to act when I am close to human emotion. Political protests, drag-queen performances, raucous concerts, and multi-cultural events have brought me closer to raw subject matter. I bring these rich experiences to traditional wedding and portrait photography as I push limits and use instinctive shooting methods to capture events and people. Photographers see in ways that can create the art that finally tells the story. Continuing education in stylistic and technical issues is as important as innate ability. I seek to be an active part of the photographic community. Volunteering is also part of my commitment to my craft.

What is your style of photography?

I have a combined style of documentary style as well as beautiful portrait work.

What is your philosophy towards weddings?

My philosophy of weddings is to let things evolve naturally. I try not to recreate a moment in order to get the image. I am more of a documentary style photographer who combines rich portraiture with the natural elements of the day.

What is your price range of services?

My pricing varies based on each client’s needs. Please contact me for an estimate for your wedding. I work both hourly as well as by the package.

Do you have packages? If so, what do they include?

My packages include engagement portraits, online proofing, digital files or negatives, albums and two photographers when needed.

Do you shoot with an assistant?

Yes

Will you be the one shooting the wedding or do you hire other photographers as well?

I am the main photographer at weddings but often use second photographers based on the size of the wedding.

Do you shoot digitally or with film or both?

I am able to provide either digital or film. This is determined by the client.

After the wedding, how long until the proofs are ready?

Proofing is ready 4-6 weeks after the wedding has taken place.

Are any prints included with the packages?

Prints are included with both packages. Please contact me for more detailed information on my packages.
