Red Box Pictures
Four nationally recognized newspaper photojournalists founded Red Box Pictures when the Seattle Post-Intelligencer ceased publication in 2009. Scott Eklund, Dan DeLong, Andy Rogers and Rob Sumner merge artful documentary photos and portraits to tell the complete story of your wedding day. We use our training and experience to capture the real moments and emotions that are the mark of true photojournalism. Visit redboxpictures.com/blog to see our most recent work.
What is your style of photography? We combine our photojournalism background of capturing real moments in a purely documentary fashion with our ability to create stylized, magazine-style portraiture. So much time and effort goes into making sure every detail of your wedding is perfect. We recognize the need to capture every detail with our photos to tell the complete story of the day for years to come. What is your philosophy towards weddings? Images that capture your personality and how you felt on your wedding day are the ones that resonate for us, and likely for you as well. It's not enough to just show what you wore, who was in attendance and what color your flowers were. When you look at your photos years from now, we want them to connect with you on an emotional level, and remind you of how you felt. Little things like a look, a touch or a small gesture can be missed if your photographer does not recognize their significance in the moment. We subscribe to the old photojournalist’s mantra of “arrive early and stay late” to tell the complete story of your wedding day. What is your price range of services? $2,700 – $8,000 Do you have packages? All of our packages include up to 8 hours of wedding coverage, at least 250 high-resolution, print-ready photos and a secure online gallery for proofing and purchasing prints if you desire. Other packages may also include: engagement portrait sessions, beautiful, custom-designed wedding albums and art books, the option of additional RBP staff photographers and RBP video capture and multimedia production. Separately, we also offer engagement/guest books and a “Photobooth” that allows your guests to create fun self-portraits in our mini-studio. Will you be the one shooting the wedding or do you hire other photographers as well? Our clients choose which Red Box Pictures photographer they wish to hire, and that is who will photograph their wedding. All weddings are photographed by one of the four founding, principle photographers, unless otherwise negotiated. Do you shoot digitally or with film or both? We shoot solely with professional Canon digital cameras in the RAW file format for optimum quality and flexibility in post-production. After the wedding, how long until the proofs are ready? We provide secure online proofing approximately 3-4 weeks after the wedding date, when your print-resolution photos are delivered on a thumb drive. |
