In a very cliche fashion, Jacob and Alex met at a Valentine's Day dance their Junior year in high school however they didn't start hanging out until the summer after they graduated. Months later, Alex moved to California for college where she resided for the next ten years leaving behind Jacob who stayed in Seattle. Through the years, the two remained connected and when Alex finally made her way back up to Seattle (and they both were single), they started officially dating. Sometimes, the wait is truly worth it because the rest from there is history.
Set at Maplehurst Farm in late September, Alex and Jacob's wedding had a whimsical garden party look and feel. From Alex's non-traditional floral wedding dress to the organic setting and bright decor, the wedding had both personal and unique touches from start to finish. Both food enthusiasts, the couple featured a cocktail hour inclusive of a live paella station. And as a nod to Jacob's work as an Alaskan fisherman, the dinner menu served up the perfect catch for guests fresh salmon and king crab.
