In June 2015, Chezzarae Hart had just relocated from Manhattan to Seattle for her career when a simple online search on Match.com led her to a picture of Christopher Jensvold, who was shown standing in front of Central Park. She clicked “like” on the photo as she reminisced over her former home thousands of miles away. It wasn’t too long after that they struck up a conversation and scheduled their first date. After a whirlwind romance, Chris planned a surprise weekend getaway on Lummi Island, where he popped the question during a romantic sunset.

After visiting a crop of local venues, the couple decided nothing could beat the Four Seasons, to which they were quickly drawn because of its modern and sophisticated space in the heart of downtown Seattle. It also happened to be the perfect fit for the couple’s shimmering metallic color palette, which touched everything from the bridesmaids’ gowns to the reception table chargers. On the big day, glowing candles lined the staircase to evoke a romantic ambiance as guests entered the venue. A simple yet striking floating floral altar added drama to the ceremony, transforming the space with a single focal point, while glimmering place settings further illuminated reception tables accented by tall floral centerpieces dripping with crystals.

Designed by the Four Seasons pastry chef, the showstopping five-tier cake was made even more elegant with a sweeping garland of delicate fresh florals that cascaded all the way down to the floor. The couple had opted for a delightful vanilla chiffon cake kissed with strawberries and Grand Marnier, and with white chocolate mousseline filling and decadent buttercream icing.
