THE COUPLE: Scott and Rachael, along with close family and friends, settled into their mountain venue the day before their ceremony. It was important to the couple to spend the extra time taking in everything their location had to offer.
THE DESIGN: Naturally occurring greens, burnt reds, burgundy, and hints of deep blues fully engulfed the venue space. And beacuse she can't get enough of the greenery, the bride danced garland runs down every table and hid moss in any available space. It was as if they simply stumbled across this space and it had always existed, just as it was.
THE DETAILS: Months before the ceremony Rachael and her father, Galen constructed the copper arbor. This project was a most incredible experience, as her father is going blind, and building the arbor was a true testament to his determination. Throughout the ceremony and reception the talents of many friends played a paramount role. From homemade signs, cakes, bouquets, boutonnieres, and even home roasted coffee, the making of their wedding was truly a beautiful collaboration.
THE MOUNTAIN: Scott and Rachel read vows that were written out in handcrafted leather books, and sealed their promises near “their mountain”. A most cherished place to the couple, for Rachel, having summited Mt. Rainier the previous summer, and for both of them, vowing to summit together on their next attempt.
