Eco-friendly couture designer Adele Wechsler [1] makes her only West Coast appearance next week, and we're thrilled she's chosen Seattle as her destination. Known as a pioneer in the eco-friendly wedding gown industry, the designer crafts her luxuriously streamlined pieces using vegetable dyes, certified-organic hemp and silk, and remnant fabric and lace. Each piece is produced with fair-trade labor in Toronto, Canada.

The event, hosted by Gary Manuel Salon [2] and Aveda [3], is from 6 to 8 p.m. next Monday, June 21, at Phase 3 Salon [4] in downtown Seattle. Free to all brides and their guests, attendees get to meet Adele Wechsler and preview her newest wedding gown designs, plus meet other eco-friendly, local vendors.
Other bonuses include free hair, makeup and skin care consultations with Gary Manuel stylists; goodies from Herban Feast Catering [5] and Trophy Cupcakes [6]; and the chance to win some amazing prizes, including an Adele Wechsler eco-couture wedding gown or headpiece, a Gary Manuel hair service, or a honeymoon vacation at the Hamanasi Adventure and Dive Resort [7], an eco-friendly destination hotel in Belize.
