Addie & Matt
Sept. 18, 2010, at Camp Korey in Carnation
Three years before their wedding, Addie, 34, and Matt, 37, met at Starbucks. The bride was having coffee with a friend who spotted his "cute new neighbor Matt." Last Sept. 18, they wed in a vintage-meets-rustic ceremony. Everyone was pampered in the venue's 1914 bungalow while they prepped: Addie's brother's boyfriend, Larry, made care baskets for day-of needs, and the bride wore a bridesmaid's family heirloom-a sapphire and diamond ring-for her "something blue." Blue and fuchsia flowers by Julie Borrud of Bella Rugosa complemented the historic farm. Addie's brother Tom officiated and was ordained just for the occasion. "I couldn't imagine sharing such an intimate moment with anyone else," says Addie. "He had everyone laughing the entire ceremony," Matt says. Matt, who works in business development at Gene Juarez Salons & Spas, and Addie, a sales representative at Bellevue's First American Title, live in Issaquah.
Favorite moment: "We were nervous when it began lightly raining at the beginning of the ceremony," says Matt. Later, guests told the couple that it made them feel like they were in Singing in the Rain. "It made it even more special, even more 'our' day," says the groom.
