Chad Biesman and David Marquardt
Met: At karaoke night at The Cuff on Capitol Hill
Married and celebrated: On October 19, 2012, at the Stimson-Green Mansion on First Hill

When Chad Biesman, 44, saw David Marquardt, 29, belting out some Madonna and Britney Spears classics during karaoke night, he decided he simply had to introduce himself. Chad, who is in business development at The Hartman Group, and David, a medical scheduler for Medical Consultants Network, had their first date two days later. Like true Pacific Northwesterners, Chad and David love traveling to the Bavarian town of Leavenworth during Christmastime. Surrounded by twinkling white lights and snowcapped mountains, Chad asked David if he would like to spend the rest of his life with him. With their supportive friends and family by their side, the Capitol Hill couple tied the knot at the Stimson-Green Mansion in mid-October. Since their celebration occurred just before the approval of Referendum 74, they made their vows legal on December 12, 2012, after same-sex marriage was officially legalized in Washington state.
