Julie & Ted's Woodinville Winery Wedding

May 29, 2011 at Novelty Hill/Januik Winery in Woodinville

After two years of trying to convince longtime love Ted Davis to ride a tandem bicycle with her, Julie Driscoll’s dream finally came true on her wedding day when she and her newly minted husband made a two-seated getaway after their evening nuptials at Woodinville’s Novelty Hill-Januik Winery. The Queen Anne couple, both 33, exchanged vows with their respective brothers at their sides, then celebrated well into the night, treating 85 friends and family to a wedding feast and, of course, wine aplenty. The orange bike (the color Julie originally envisioned) was graciously loaned by South Seattle’s Angle Lake Cyclery and, with the help of wedding planner Jennifer Taylor of Taylor’d Events by Jennifer, decorated with streamers and a classic farewell sign. Though Ted envisioned the worst (big dress, oily bike, wine-impaired coordination), their prewedding practice session paid off as the smiling couple, giddy with laughter, pedaled away along the path to their wedding night at Willows Lodge.
