Lisa Weiner and Wilson Galyean
Met: On
Married and celebrated: September 2, 2012 at The Hall at Fauntleroy in West Seattle
Honeymooned: In Cancun, Mexico, for 14 days

Lisa Weiner, an employment consultant, knew Army Capt. Wilson Galyean was “the one” after their first date, a day trip to Mount Rainier. A week later, Lisa, 30, took a leap of faith, privately reserving a room at Rainier’s Paradise Inn for what would be their first anniversary, just in case her intuition was correct. Three hundred sixty-five days later, she and Wilson, 28, found themselves in Paradise, celebrating one year together with rainy hikes, snuggles by the fire and a somewhat flat game of Scrabble. Wilson was putting down simple words like “him” and “coat,” and Lisa knew his head wasn’t in the game. At 11:43 a.m. (the exact time they met), Wilson led her out on the porch where they shared their first kiss and, in the misty rain, got down on one knee and proposed. This fun-loving Steilacoom-based couple married at West Seattle’s Hall at Fauntleroy, with colorful flag banner as dècor elements (Wilson’s idea), shaved ice (Lisa’s idea), boxes of animal crackers and juice as pre-ceremony refreshments, and horns and streamers for guests to blow and wave as the couple walked giddily down the aisle after saying their vows and before a two-week honeymoon on the beaches of Cancun.
