Tami Gookstetter and Chad Brundage
Met: Growing up in Tukwila
Married and celebrated: August 18, 2012 at Red Barn Studios in Chehalis
Honeymooned: Spent 12 days in Costa Rica

Tami Gookstetter, 30, and Chad Brundage, 32, both grew up in Tukwila, but lost touch after high school. Reunited in 2005 through mutual friends, the couple began to date, and six years later, on a mild February day, Chad and Tami got engaged while walking along the beach at Deception Pass State Park. The couple exchanged vows at Red Barn Studios in Chehalis amid lush green fields, and for Tami, a professional photographer, choosing the right photographer to capture the day was very important. Picking Adele Cabanilla was her best wedding-planning choice, because, the bride says, in addition to helping to keep the day relaxed, Adele captured all of the things Tami wanted. As a bonus, the two have become lifelong friends. After the ceremony, guests sipped lemonade out of Mason jars and played lawn games. The hit of the day was the sack races, and guests are still talking about Tami hopping across the lawn in her bridal dress. For the record, she won that round. The bride says that the day was exactly how she wanted it—relaxed, casual and centered on family. The couple honeymooned in Costa Rica for 12 days before returning to their home in Edgewood.
