There was no better place for avid hikers and mountaineers, Victoria Lim and Mark Heggenes, to say “I do” than atop a 5,000 foot high peak. Married at Scottish Lakes High Camp near Leavenworth, each one of their guests made the steep ¾-mile hike to the secluded ceremony and a sign welcoming them with, “We Survived Mark & Victoria’s Wedding” on a gorgeous sunny August afternoon. Though they worried about their guests, the bride, groom, and two male friends were the ones to hike everything up to the location the day before.

 Overlooking a meadow full of blooming lupine (that unexpectedly stuck around in August due to a late spring), the couple exchanged vows in a memorable ceremony that blew away their own expectations and didn’t leave a dry eye on the rustic bench pews. The couple celebrated surrounded by woodsy, homemade décor with knockout food by a Leavenworth caterer. While dancing on the deck under the stars, a meteor show put on a show as the stars literally aligned for this perfect mountaintop match.
