Freeze Frame

Old-fashioned photo booths have fast become a must-have “extra” at Northwest weddings, and dozens of local companies have risen to meet the demand. After posing all day for a traditional wedding photographer, guests—and couples, such as Lesley Sheehan and Chris Jackson—love mugging for the camera in the box. The resulting photo strips can serve as favors or be collected in a scrapbook for the newlyweds. If you don’t have the extra cash for a rental (about $1,100 to $1,500), ask your photographer to set up a mock “photo booth”, a curtained-off area where guests can loosen up and ham it up.
