The ornate interior of Thornewood Castle offers a classic and historic feel, while added touches of gold paired with pink hues and greenery provoked an intimate and elevated vibe. As photographer Irina K. notes, "With the current trends, youthfulness is correlated with modern and simple or boho styled weddings. But we have labeled the traditional style as outdated. I loved the challenge of taking those biases and blending some current styling methods to create a timeless inspiration that will outlast trends."
When planning the bridal look, a barely-there makeup technique was a key for this classic bride. The goal was to inspire future brides to love their natural beauty and feel like the best version of themselves - not someone unrecognizable. For the bridal gown, Blue Sky Bridal in Seattle had the perfect dress; a beautiful A-line Carolina Herrera dress, with a full tulle skirt that unveiled femininity and youthfulness.
The table was set with a cream colored linen and dusty pink velvet napkins, along with white china, gold flatware and cut-crystal glassware offering a delicate and feminine aesthetic. Emphasizing the classic design, the tablescape included floral arrangements by Millsweet Flower Co. that featured lillies (as a nod to tradition) and blended in varying hues of pink florals.
