Winter Wonderland: A Chic & Sentimental Wedding Day At Lord Hill Farms In Snohomish

There was not a dry eye in the room during Taryn Walker and Taylor Soushek’s wintry wedding at Lord Hill Farms, and little wonder: During the emotional, touching ceremony performed by the bride’s uncle, Taylor not only said “I do” to Taryn but to her 3-year-old daughter, Brooklyn, as well as officially adopting her during the ceremony. The newly minted daughter even pulled double duty as the flower girl, yelling “Daddy!” and running down the aisle into Taylor’s waiting arms as she passed up several attendants during the processional.

The bride, a merchandiser for Z Gallerie, put her design chops to good use for their rustic-chic fête, transforming a thrift-shop hutch into a stunning dessert bar for the reception. She also crafted faux-floral hoops for each bridesmaid to carry and then save as a keepsake of the day. Florists Iris & Peony festooned the farm with abundant greenery and burgundy florals suited to the season, while guests enthusiastically warmed themselves up for the evening’s events at the fully stocked hot chocolate bar.
