This three-tiered confection from West Seattle–based Baked features a stunning panel design crafted from multicolor, chevron-shaped fondant appliqués and gold-painted fondant line accents. An additional gold-painted fondant geometric topper polishes off the swish look. $14/serving.

2. RARE BIRDS

Encased with fondant triangles in subtle shades of white and cream, this three-tier cake also features two feathered friends in its design. Expertly crafted by Redmond’s Midori Bakery using hand-cut fondant pieces that fit together like a puzzle, the standout birds take on 3-D appearance, sure to draw the attention of your guests. $7/slice.

3. SHAPING UP

Renton-based Lilac Cake Boutique designed this romantic cake with three distinct tiers, all coated in fondant frosting: a bottom, hexagon-shaped layer with linear lines; a second layer with whimsical watercolor painting and a sugar rose; and a sweet top tier accented with edible metallic rectangles. A custom-made cake stand lends the perfect finishing touch. $9.50/serving.

4. TERRIFIC TRIO

Accompanied by two one-tier cakes coated in gold metallic fondant frosting, this three-tiered gray and white cake by Wallingford-based The SweetSide mimics of the look of Carrara marble with its hexagon-shaped tiles, each of which were individually rolled out, cut and laid into the pattern. The sweet trio is completed by sugar flowers and hexagon-shaped fondant accents. $11/serving.
