Floral Arranging Workshop With Kirsten Griffith-VanderYacht At Glasswing Greenhouse

Just in time for Mother's Day weekend, spend your Saturday morning at the Greenhouse learning how to compose and create your own floral arrangements with in-season blooms. Create an arrangement to gift to your motherly figure or take the workshop with them. This would be a lovely way to celebrate your mom! We also will have some new preorder arrangements available for pickup or delivery.

Join us for our upcoming floral arranging class lead by our floral director, Kristen Griffith-VanderYacht of Wild Bloom Floral. Kristen's work has appeared in People Magazine, Martha Stewart Weddings, New York Magazine, and The Knot amongst others.

During this hands-on class, we will discuss how to incorporate the use of scented flowers and foliage in arrangements using rosemary, lavender, mint, bay leaf, hyacinth and roses among other fragrant varieties. Participants will also learn basic flower conditioning techniques, how to create a spiral stemmed vase arrangement and a hand-tied bouquet. This information will be a great starting point for those who want to learn more about the floral industry while at the same time sharpening their design skills. The class includes a bouquet design that you create and take home.
