Although already wed, Yujia Ren and Ruiming Lu wanted an occasion for loved ones to join them in celebrating their marriage. The couple picked a tranquil Sunday in July to do just that, welcoming a cherished group of just fewer than 60 guests to Woodinville Lavender. The small size of the party allowed everyone to take in the fresh, romantic, soft-toned details that adorned the reception. Arrangements of lavender, oregano and fresh flowers complemented the purple and green fields surrounding the celebration tent. Also lovely in lavender were the bridesmaids’ dresses and groom’s and groomsmen’s bow ties; lavender-colored chocolate-covered strawberries; and a simply elegant white cake garnished with lavender flowers. Yujia’s dress change from white to pink proved a unique and colorful transformation for everyone to remember. With the soft rustic appeal of the outdoor wedding and a golden sunset typical of a Pacific Northwest summer, guests were glad for the chance to celebrate a love in bloom.
