Seattle Bride Fall/Winter 2022

When concepting this dreamy shoot near Mount Rainier, Cassie Hanson of DAE Planner Design Co. knew she didn’t want it to be a typical boho scene so she coined the theme “free spirit.” The result was a symphony of soft, warm tones, celestial accents and romantic florals at a cozy A-frame cabin along the Cowlitz River. When selecting the color scheme, the team wanted to steer clear of classic winter hues. Instead, the designers opted for delicate tones, “almost as an ode to spring being right around the corner,” while ensuring the palette still harmonized with the rustic Pacific Northwest venue. Starting with the free-form ceremony installation, Jordan Moll Events incorporated a mix of dried and fresh elements for a breathtaking floral design. The combination was repeated in the intimate, airy tablescape, which included abundant baby’s breath, candles, dainty paper goods and immaculately curated place settings. The real-life couple’s fashion played into the theme beautifully—the bride’s dress, “Nala” by Chosen from Idina Bride, exudes a starry sensibility. The celestial gown reminded Hanson of one of her favorite lines from Romeo and Juliet, which East Avenue Press turned into a vellum paper element in the invitation suite.
