The Rain Stopped Just Before This Elegant Garden Ceremony at Robinswood House in Bellevue
As Texas residents, Katie and Matt found a cool, rainy haven at the historic Robinswood House in Bellevue, Washington to say their "I do's". The English gardens were adorned with pale peach and rosy florals and a custom Bixby + Pine triangle arch. The erratic weather leading up to the wedding day left the couple guessing if they'd be caught in a downpour during their ceremony. "Even the rain stopped for us to celebrate our commitment to each other," Katie said. "It had rained all day and as we were all getting in place to begin the ceremony, the rain stops and my dad walks me down the aisle to Matt."
Katie wanted to commemorate her love for her dad with a special moment for the two of them. She did so with a father-daughter first look and there was not a dry eye in sight. Following the ceremony, the bride and groom enjoyed a His and Her cookie bar and a personal wedding day wine, made especially for them by their friends who own a Texas winery.
From the bride: "Our wedding day was more perfect than I think Matt or I could have imagined! Getting ready with our closest friends and family in the bride and groom suites that over looked the venue, exchanging vows, Matt giving such a heartfelt speech, to dancing the night away! It’s a day that we both remember so vividly!
"None of those special moments would have been possible without our amazing wedding planner!! Alex from Willow and Ivy Events was a dream to work with and truly made our wedding everything we could have imagined! If I could recommend anything to future brides and grooms it would be to splurge on a wedding planner...it’s so worth it!!"
