Gold & Teal Woodmark Hotel Wedding

When it comes to cheerful color palettes, teal and gold tops the list, and Samy and Heath's Woodmark Hotel wedding has a celebratory spirit to match. After saying "I do" on the waterfront, the couple danced the night away with family and friends amidst classic gilded decor. A few of our favorite details? "The couple met through mutual friends in 2011, but came from very opposite backgrounds. Samy is from Brazil and Heath is from Kansas. They dated for a few years before vacationing to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico on New Years Eve in 2014. They were on the beach counting down the seconds until midnight with fireworks and champagne bottles popping everywhere when Heath got down on one knee and poured out his heart. The groom later stated he couldn't imagine starting another year with Samy just being his girlfriend. The nuptials took place on June 30, 2016 at the Woodmark Hotel in Kirkland, WA.

What was your fondest wedding moment?

Heath’s favorite moment was seeing me walk down the aisle and mine was when we were first introduced as Mr. and Mrs. Hampton. I also loved when everyone got on the dance floor for the first dance of the night!

Interesting facts about you and your spouse that you would like to share.

Heath grew up in Kansas, and I grew up in Brazil.

Heath likes to ride motorcycles, shoot guns, and fly airplanes. I like music, camping, and fitness. We compliment each other well 

Where do you reside and what are your occupations?

We reside in Maple Valley, WA. I’m a Lash Extension Artist at Lash-Allure and Heath owns a tree service company called Cloudy Sky Tree Service.

Who were your favorite wedding vendors?

We both agree that we loved Celebrity Cake Studio because the sweets were delicious and the Woodmark because the venue was perfect.

What advice do you have for future brides?

Spend the money on a wedding planner from the beginning. It will be the most well-spent money you will spend. I did it and I couldn’t have imagined it any other way. Also, on the day of the wedding, stop what you are doing for a minute and just look around and pay attention to what everyone is doing and how beautiful your day is. Take in every second of it because it will fly by and that will be the one moment you will remember forever."
