Seattle Bride Fall/Winter 2020

Wedding Date: June 29, 2019

East Coasters Kylie Scharf and Eric Goodman met in Baltimore and were engaged in New York City before moving to Seattle together. The two fell in love with the West Coast and wanted to share it with loved ones for their wedding. “We wanted something that was modern, sleek and sophisticated—more NYC style—but that also felt very natural, organic and welcoming—like Seattle,” says the bride. The couple and their wedding planner combined greenery and farm tables with ghost chairs, gold silverware and neon for a cohesion of styles. Kylie and Eric wanted a wedding that was unmistakably theirs. Their beloved West Highland terrier, Bo, walked down the aisle with the groom, and the bride’s sister officiated the ceremony. They devised a scavenger hunt for the reception, with tasks such as meeting the parents, getting a piggyback ride across the dance floor, and drawing a picture of the bride and groom. A cocktail hour took place at the nearby Westland whiskey distillery, and a custom beer pong table, complete with the wedding logo, got the party started.
