We are so thrilled to have chosen Sound Originals and Dan for our wedding! From the beginning, we wanted to make sure our photographer captured the moments with family and friends that we would otherwise miss during the festivities of the day. Dan understood that and was so easy to work with. Wedding photography really is an investment but I felt that Dan had both reasonable packages and overwhelmingly positive reviews and experience. I am so glad we booked him for our wedding! Day of, he was easy to work with and incredibly patient with our large families. He gave great directions for photos and also captured many of the natural moments between my husband and me. We had so many incredible photos after our wedding that I can't even pick my top 5 - they are so amazing! I also love his editing style since I found many photographers that had either an overly moody, dark style or were extremely bright and white. I know that my wedding pictures will look great for decades to come (and not look overly edited or styled). Also, the turn-around time was fantastic. We had a collection of initial images the next day (!) and our full album in a few weeks so I was incredibly impressed with the speed during a time when I know he had many other weddings he was working on. Overall we are so happy with the experience and we will treasure these photos forever!

I can't emphasize enough how happy I am with my wedding video! It brought tears to my eyes and was so great to relive the moment. The music, the audio clips and the vision was everything I could have asked for and more. If you're reading this review, this is what I want you to take away: Stop searching! I searched for weeks online looking for a videographer. I read hundreds of reviews and watched more wedding videos than one probably ever should. Dan is so easy to work with; he's extremely professional and has an amazing talent for capturing all of the beautiful moments you will share with your special someone on your big day. Thank you Dan for this amazing video that we'll keep for many years to come, we couldn't be happier!

Sound Originals and Dan was our photographer and videographer for our 8/04/19 wedding. When I first searched him up after stumbling upon him on Google, my husband and I were blown away by his amazing photos. We could tell he knew how to capture the magic in every shot he took. He also has such a great sense of humor and made us feel so comfortable. During our engagement photo shoot, he made us laugh so much making the whole process so easy. We loved that he is so chill yet so professional. Not once did we feel pressured or rushed. The wedding photos came out unbelievably well (and quicker than we expected!). We could tell that Dan spent a great amount of time editing. We were so impressed with how many beautiful moments he was able to get! The video was also amazing! Everything that we wanted to remember was in it. My husband and I got teary-eyed all over again watching it. We kept saying how romantic he made it look. We felt like stars in a movie trailer! Working with him was probably my favorite out of all the different vendors I had for my wedding day. So many of my friends observed him while he was taking photos and were admiring his professionalism and dedication. I felt so proud to say that he was my photographer and videographer. Please consider Dan and you will NOT be disappointed! And if you were looking for something specific, he is more than happy to help meet that vision.

Sound Originals far exceeded our expectations as the photographer at our daughter’s wedding. We felt like we were looking at magazine prints when we saw the photos, they were so perfect. Dan knew exactly where to be to get the best picture. On our fifth viewing of the ceremony recording, we actually watched just him in the background. He was a master at work, stopping occasionally to survey the scene in order to maximize the shot, taking so many photos in such rapid succession. At one point, he turned his camera to our special needs daughter, about 10 feet away, who was watching in her chair under a shade tree, too anxious to be closer to the ceremony taking place. When the photos came in, there was a wonderful picture of her relaxing and seeing her older sister get married, plus pictures of her responding to a fist bump from the groom and an intimate moment with her sister. We will forever be grateful for these precious photos.
We look at the pictures and think, “How in the world did he get that shot?? “ Due to covid-19, the venue had been changed from Lairmont Manor in Bellingham to a small backyard next to a lake. It was a non-traditional, thinking-totally-outside-of-the-box kind of a wedding. When the bride and groom changed into bathing suits and planned to jump into the lake to celebrate and cool off, he got into a neighbor’s boat (with mask and sunhat) and took INCREDIBLE photos of them mid air, faces ecstatic, jumping off the dock, and then landing in the water, every frame captured.
Thank you Dan, for capturing our daughter’s wedding day so beautifully and with such artistry. --
