Proudly standing in the University District of Seattle and built in 1931, The Graduate Seattle Hotel oozes historical charm. The refined art-deco style has been a hallmark of the hotel since its opening and this exquisite shoot made the most of this venue. The team behind this design from Love Blooms embraced the vintage yet timeless feel of The Graduate Seattle Hotel and created a stunning styled shoot stemming from The Graduate Seattle Hotel's Wright Ballroom as inspiration. Unique features of the ballroom set a foundation for a dazzling shoot, chandeliers are indicative of the Pacific Northwest's rich glass-blowing history and a bold deep purple carpet is a nod to the University of Washington's huskies. The design team focused on emphasizing the romance and history of the ballroom through decor and design choices like florals and tableware. From atop the 16th floor, picturesque views of the city from The Graduate Seattle Hotel's rooftop Mountaineering Club showcased the immense beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Ceremony and arbor photos embraced the ambiance of this rooftop retreat with an elegant style. Paying tribute to the 30s, our bride was adorned in an off-the-shoulder ballgown from Brides for a Cause with dainty lace detailing and a newsboy-type hat added a vintage flair to our groom's outfit. Florals were expertly crafted by Love Blooms and were effortlessly reminiscent of the Pacific Northwest's lush greenery and blooming florals and aimed to enhance the grand atmosphere of the ballroom. Blooming roses were a focal point for our bride's bouquet, set against timeless greenery and accented with bold mauve orchids, a perfect pop of texture. Building the floral design from the showstopping bouquet, gorgeous arrangements were a natural complement to the high ceilings and expansive stretch of the ballroom. Tablescapes positioned on top of velvet grey linens featured gold, white and black hues, another nod to the timeless nature of the shoot. Vintage truly met modernity at The Graduate Seattle Hotel in this design that put a subtle, modern twist on a classic 1930s event.
