Annie Jacobson and Mitchell Dover wed at The Lodge at Trinity Tree Farm in a romantic summer wedding inspired by the ambiance of Taylor Swift’s “Lover” album cover. For the high school sweethearts, there was no question about whether or not they wanted a summer wedding, and a whimsical palette of pastels proved to be perfect in a garden party atmosphere. Shades of pink, yellow, lavender and periwinkle were stylishly woven into florals and signage. Bride Annie took to designing the welcome sign and programs herself, infusing her own labor of love into the day’s design. Annie’s self-designed welcome sign was a much-loved greeting for guests alongside a selection of cool drinks and popcorn before the ceremony. Ceremony florals melded the forest locale of the venue with a modern showcase of garden-inspired flora leading to the altar.

For their cocktail hour, guests found themselves entertained with nearly too many options to choose from. Lawn games like croquet, cornhole and tic-tac-toe kept the energy high as the celebration ensued. The reception took place in the ethereal and airy Lodge, where a seek, white backdrop set a clean base for tablescapes bursting with color. Feminine colors and textures were centerstage, with a whimsical interpretation of summer displayed across florals and design choices; bud vases and ikebana arrangements were interwoven with pillar candles across tables. In a detail that did not go unnoticed, Annie and Mitchell printed some of their love notes from early in their relationship on the wedding’s cocktail napkins, which many guests kept as a keepsake for later.
