Amber Ketchum and Jacob Arnall’s elegant wedding took place on the edge of a scenic frozen lake, isolated from the rest of the resort where they were staying. Both bride and groom wore snow boots they traipsed around the snowy grounds to find beautiful spots for commemorating the occasion. The ceremony took place in front of a circular flower arch, which was situated beneath vast daylighting windows, which allowed the guests to peek out at the snowy landscape beyond the panes. One of the most beautiful aspects of the wedding was the astonishing transformation of the cellar basement into an ambient and elegant reception area, where the guests and bridal party celebrated after the ceremony. Gorgeous hanging lightbulbs were scattered above the head table; and sleek, spare greens were placed around the candles and table numbers for a rustic yet minimalist aesthetic. Amber and Jacob’s special day proved that weddings aren’t just for warmer months—a winter wonderland can be just as magical a location for people seeking to solidify their love.
