Bryce Paulsen and Jaclyn Ingham created a stylish wedding centered around a theme of Pacific Northwest nautical infused with warm tones and summer details for their nuptials at the Roche Harbor Resort in the San Juan Islands. The locale for their big day was easy enough to settle on as Jacklyn grew up spending time with family in the San Juan Islands and the couple share an affinity for being near the water. Elements from around the island found themselves on display swathed with décor that incorporated hues of summer for a sumptuous blend of style. Paying homage to their surroundings, a hand-drawn invitation suite and guest book featured maps of the island highlighting local landmarks. An oyster bar was also an essential add-on that celebrated San Juan Island's local fares with delicious bites. The allure of the islands was a central highlight of the day, but the opulent décor and details were also an undeniable highlight that danced alongside Pacific Northwest flair. Leah from Bloom San Juan created a floral atmosphere that was a vision of cohesion that brought both sides of the day's design together throughout the event, featuring pops of coral blooms alongside white varieties and a lush collection of greenery.

Of course, no wedding is complete without the individual details paying homage to a couple's unique love story, something Jaclyn and Bryce seamlessly wove into their big day. Guests were greeted at their place settings with scratchers that said "Lucky in Love," a fun activity that set the tone for a night of celebration. Custom drink toppers featuring "J | B" and the wedding date were a darling addition that eventually melted into drinks. It was essential for the duo to feature their puppy Ellie, who found her way onto custom cocktail napkins with the phrase, "Drinks on Me!" Ellie also made appearances throughout the day, elegantly adorned with a floral collar. The reception space spared no details and opted for a maximalist interpretation of their theme; chandeliers and greenery were a luxurious addition alongside seating areas featuring a neon sign and cozy fireplace. A wedding-day confection created by Cakes by Felicitations brought a simplistic elegance adorned with florals echoing the ceremony and reception décor. The entire wedding was a true showcase of inspiration that melded summer's warmth with a classic PNW backdrop. Photographer Gina Paulson reflected on what a unique and stylish event resulted, accented delightfully with the use of color.

One thing I loved about this wedding is the colors, and it’s something I’d recommend to more couples getting married out there. The island itself tends to be pretty neutral and cool toned with the water, so adding in some warmer colors is a great way to add some flair into your wedding day.
