Christa and Luis, who both work in sales, met after being placed on the same Tough Mudder team for a race in Lake Tahoe. After running in the same friend circle for several months, the time was finally right for romance, and the pair dated for about year before Luis popped the question while they were attending a friend’s wedding in the Caribbean.
The pair found their dream wedding venue on their own 2-acre property in Woodinville, saying “I do” under the towering trees in their front yard and celebrating underneath tents set up on the back lawn. The big day included personal touches—such as the rustic slice of wood guests signed in lieu of a traditional book, apricot and strawberry jam favors made by the bride, as well as nods to Luis’ Peruvian heritage. Guests sampled from several food stations, which served fare such as ceviche, tacos and barbecue, before joining a raucous party on the dance floor that lasted well into the night.
